Aleksandra Georgieva for NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine

EDITORIAL WORK

I am the Co-founder and Editor of NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine - an independent publication with focus on sustainable travel and global cultural values. I write editorial content for the online and print version of the magazine. I conduct interviews with sustainable brands and influential individuals. Apart form launching and maintaining the official website, I design a major proportion of the layout of the print issues and media kit. I also help maintain the social presence of the publication across multiple digital platforms, including the official web page of www.nomadsoforigin.com.

I am the writer of a debut book called Thirsty Flowers. It is a collection of carefully crafted poetry and prose inspired by love, loss, healing and growth, written in collaboration with Emily Georgieva. The book is available on Amazon and explores themes of growing up, moving abroad, falling in and out of love, and navigating the self trough a vortex of poems and prose.

In 2023 I worked as the graphic designer of a photography book celebrating "Women of Culture", which includes interviews with women from various cultural backgrounds who share their individual experiences of living abroad, and portrayed through the stunning work of photographer Lucie Böhmová.

As part of the editorial team of STARK Magazine between 2016 - 2018, I wrote features, reviews and conducted interviews for print and digital purposes that resonate with the brand's image. In 2018 I interned for SUITCASE Magazine in London; I joined the editorial and media team as an editorial assistant.

As part of a second-year coursework at Solent University, I interviewed a witness of the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting. My work has also been published in the second issue of SOTON Magazine. I am a freelance journalist. Apart from my love for prose and travel writing I am always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and editorial portfolio..

Visit NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine's official website at www.nomadsoforigin.com. The print issues of NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine are now  available to purchase in print and digital. Each issue focuses on different nations' values, centuries-long traditions and modern cultural shifts.

The content of NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine offers a mixture of travelling in a tourist manner and exploring the native side of destinations by recommendations of locals. The magazine stands behind the belief that differences are meant to unite rather than divide people and celebrates the diversity of cultures that define nations and individuals. The content of the publication features in-depth journalistic work, escapism travel pieces, and interviews with wanderlusts, business owners and artists.

Aleksandra Georgieva has created further editorial work for several print and digital projects.

She worked for SUITCASE Magazine in London as an Editorial Assistant in 2018. Her written work appears in Solent University's SOTON Magazine. In her third year of university Aleksandra created a one-time-publication about environmental issues. She has done additional freelance work and continues to seek various projects to expand her skills and to add to this portfolio.
